"Rob Brett aka David Bowman stated producing in the early 2000s after being a DJ and enjoying the UK rave scene since the late 80s. Through his DJ work, he developed a huge passion for techno and all its sub genres.

After producing for a while, Rob joined forces with a close late friend and formed *hofmann*. Hoffmann was a blend of techno, house and anything inbetween.

With his love for space and the film 2001, Rob then decided to start David Bowman in 2009, a musical vehicle through which he could express a true techno sound.

Rob likes all techno styles, but in recent years has defiantly crafted his own sound. His deep textured spacey noises, driving bass and minimal use of drums give his tracks slow hypnotic progression with a deep dark minimal groove this creates some very deep dark atmospheres."
